New semester, new parking fees
Department drafts new policy, more stringent on repeat offenders.
Moving into the spring semester, the UND Parking Office released the new rules and regulations being put into effect.

Beginning this semester parking tickets will no longer double after 14 days. All tickets will remain $20 or lower, other than a handicap parking violation, that will still sit at $100.

Two NDSU professors recently released a report entitled "Economic Impact of the North Dakota University System." Their findings showed that combined, all North Dakota universities contributed over 2.8 billion dollars to the states economy. While UND, for the third time in three years was responsible for over 1 billion of the total dollars.

Global climate change continues to pose a serious threat to life on planet earth. With continued expansion and globalization of major industries and continued growth of countries around the world, the danger that greenhouse gases is ever more prevalent. While many states across the United States are taking the initiative to decrease emissions and develop an infrastructure of clean, renewable energy resources, much still needs to be done about the existing CO2 gas in the atmosphere.
